The City of Ashland is set to usher in the holiday season with its 31st annual Festival of Light Celebration on Friday, November 24, 2023. The highlight of the event, the festive parade, is scheduled to begin at 5:00pm in front of the Ashland Public Library.
To accommodate the festivities, East Main Street, stretching from Gresham Street to Water Street, will be closed to traffic from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. During this time, Lithia Way will facilitate two-way traffic within the downtown corridor.
In the interest of safety for both parade participants and event attendees, a strict no-vehicle policy will be enforced within the parade area. All vehicles parked along the parade route after 3:00pm will be towed, with designated tow areas clearly marked well in advance. It is advised to pay close attention to posted signage to avoid any inconvenience.
Officials say the public’s cooperation ensures a smooth and joyful celebration for everyone involved.
