Severe Weather Shelter in Ashland to Open Amidst Cold Forecast

In response to forecasted cold temperatures, the Severe Weather Shelter located at 2200 Ashland St is set to open its doors on the night of Sunday, November 19. Managed by Opportunities for Housing Resources and Assistance (OHRA), the shelter will be coordinated and staffed by OHRA employees and dedicated volunteers.

The shelter will be operational from 5 p.m. on November 19 until 9 a.m. on Monday, November 20, offering a low-barrier, no-frills overnight refuge for individuals seeking respite from the cold. Doors will close promptly at 10 p.m.
