Two Teens Shot, One Fatally Injured at Oregon House Party

A gathering of young people turned into a horrifying ordeal when gunfire erupted at a house party on Saturday night, leaving two teenage males injured, one critically, and the other treated for minor injuries.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:50 PM in the 200 block of NE 34th Place in Hillsboro. The victims have been identified as a 17-year-old male, who was a student at Hillsboro High School, and a 16-year-old male.

The 17-year-old victim, critically injured in the shooting, received immediate assistance from arriving officers and paramedics. Despite their best efforts, the young man did not survive his injuries. He was transported to an area hospital by ambulance where authorities say he succumbed to his wounds.

The second injured male, aged 16, received on-site medical attention and was taken to an area hospital by a family member. His injuries were less severe, and he is expected to recover.

The Hillsboro Police Department has launched an investigation into this incident, and as of now, no arrests have been made. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that might aid in the investigation.
