Government Agencies and AARP to Hold “Scam Jam” Workshop in Medford

The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation (DFR) is teaming up with partners including AARP, the Oregon Department of Justice’s Consumer Protection Division, Oregon Department of Human Services, Aging & People with Disabilities, Construction Contractors Board, and the Federal Trade Commission to present a crucial fraud prevention workshop in southern Oregon.

The event, known as “Scam Jam,” will equip attendees with the knowledge and tools necessary to spot scams and protect themselves against fraud. With scams becoming increasingly sophisticated, this workshop aims to raise public awareness to counteract the rising tide of fraudulent activities.
