This year’s Talent Harvest Festival is set to be a vibrant celebration of local culture, all while creating unforgettable experiences for both residents and out-of-town guests. The best part? Attendance and all performances are entirely free! Downtown Talent will come alive with a colorful array of vendors, artisans, growers, and crafters, offering something for everyone. Here’s what you need to know:
Event Details:
- Event: Talent Harvest Festival
- Date: Saturday, October 7, 2023
- Time: 10 AM to 4 PM
- Vendor Locations: Old Town Park, Library Commons Park, E Main St & Market St, Town Hall, Talent Club lot, Wagner Plaza
- Streets Closed to Cars: E Main St. between Talent Avenue and Front Street, Market St closed from LaPree to just before Ray’s, John St closed from Post Office to Main St, plus front U driveway of City Hall, Road next to library into library parking lot and City Hall is closed from LaPree
- Harvest Festival Fun Run: 8 AM – 10 AM starting at City Hall (registration starts at 7 AM)
- Live Music 10-4: Old Town Park, The Vintage, Library Commons, Talent Historical Society, The Grotto, ArtBop
- Parade: Not this year. Officials hope to have the full staffing needed, and more interested floats, in order to make it happen in Summer 2024.
- Parking: Vendor parking reserved, General Public parking in surrounding neighborhoods, or in Talent Elementary School parking lot
Main & Market Street Pedestrian Street Faire:
Stroll down Main Street and Market Street, transformed into a pedestrian-only street faire with booths from various vendors, artisans, farmers, and community organizations. Savor local culinary delights from food vendors. Visit booths in front of Town Hall for a chat with City Staff, Talent Police, and Jackson County Fire District 5 members. Don’t miss a chance for a photo op with an old-fashioned fire truck!
Early morning Fun Run:
Start your festival day with an active twist by joining the Talent Harvest Festival Fun Run from 8 AM to 10 AM (registration at 7 AM). Run through picturesque routes of Talent with fellow enthusiasts, starting and ending at City Hall. Organized by the Southern Oregon Runners and the Grotto. Sign up here: Fun Run Registration
MainStage Music Festival at Old Town Park:
Enjoy local musicians and soulful music at the Mainstage Music Fest from 10 AM to 4 PM, right across from City Hall. Satisfy your taste buds with artisan booths and delicious food while dancing or relaxing in the grass. Sweet Beet offers adult libations with a view from across the street.
Coffeehouse Serenity:
Kickstart your morning at the Vintage Coffeehouse’s songwriter stage. Sip a cup of coffee, enjoy breakfast, and let talented acoustic musicians set the festival mood.
Family Fun in the Library Commons:
Head to Library Commons Park for the KidsZone family fest, featuring family-friendly music and dance performances, ScienceLive shows, and more. Treat yourself to delicious food from various food trucks. Explore booths from local youth-serving organizations, shop creative children’s goods vendors, and enjoy a book sale at the library. Next door, visit the Talent Historical Society for old-fashioned activities, music, and local history.
Wagner Plaza activities:
- SONA Pop-Up Market – Vendor Faire
- The Grotto – Beer Garden & live music from the Pozitronics 12-4
- Talent Maker City – Open House & Activities (inside workshop)
ArtBop activities:
- Live music by Dave Brendlinger, Sage Meadows & Friends, & The Rosalees from 12-8 PM
- Catering by Red House Sausage
- Release of Secret Special Merchandise!
