USPS Offering $50,000 Reward After Robbery of Letter Carrier

In an effort to bring the perpetrator of a recent USPS letter carrier robbery to justice, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a substantial reward of up to $50,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. This incident occurred on September 5th, 2023, at approximately 7:25 p.m., in the breezeway on the north side of a residential complex located in Portland.

The unidentified male suspect, who remains at large, is described as being between 5’8″ and 5’10” in height, blue eyes, possessing a medium build, and sporting a clean-cut appearance. During the robbery, the suspect was seen wearing a black jacket adorned with white lettering on the back.

The incident unfolded as the USPS letter carrier was carrying out their duties, delivering mail within the residential area. The suspect approached the carrier, demanding the contents of the mailbag and making a hasty escape from the scene in a dark-colored Ford Explorer.

Local law enforcement agencies have been working to identify and locate the suspect responsible for this crime, but as of now, the individual remains unidentified and at large.
