Klamath Falls Man Charged with Multiple Crimes in Central Oregon

On September 3, Redmond Police Officers executed a warrant on a residence in the 300 block of SE 5th street, Redmond, following a report of suspicious activity. This led to the arrest of 37-year-old Kyle Wayne Van Dyke of Klamath Falls and 33-year-old La Pine resident Tia Lampe on charges including Burglary, Forgery, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Theft of Services.

Van Dyke and Lampe had allegedly broken into the previously vacant residence and had been residing there for several days. The homeowners, who live out of state, were contacted by officers, confirming that no one should have been living in the home.

During the search of the residence, officers discovered powdered fentanyl and various drug paraphernalia. Furthermore, they uncovered fraudulent documents attempting to establish that Van Dyke and Lampe had rented the property. Additionally, a 9 mm handgun was recovered at the scene.

Both suspects were taken into custody and lodged at the Deschutes County Jail.

The Redmond Police Department expressed their gratitude to the citizens who reported the suspicious behavior, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in maintaining safety.

A criminal complaint is only an accusation of a crime, and a suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
