Man Faces Multiple Charges Following Violent Altercation

Josephine County Law enforcement agencies responded to an violent incident on August 24, 2023, that resulting in the arrest of 32-year-old Robert Linville. Linville now faces a series of charges, including Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Menacing.

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Oregon State Police and Grants Pass Police Department, were dispatched to a call originating from the 3000 block of Highland Avenue. The call indicated a robbery with shots fired during a confrontation. Responding officers and deputies were met by a victim/witness who had managed to escape the scene and alert authorities.

The victim/witness reported that Robert Linville, a male individual, had discharged a shotgun at a vehicle during the incident.
