Red Flag Warning Issued for Eastern Jackson County

The US National Weather Service Medford has issued a Red Flag Warning for the eastern part of Jackson County for today, August 4th, 2023. The warning is in effect from 11 AM to 11 PM today, and it could be revised if conditions change.

Thunderstorms with abundant lightning and wind gusts of up to 35 MPH are anticipated in the warned area. Due to these conditions, any fire starts could spread rapidly, posing a significant risk to the community during this time.

A Red Flag Warning indicates critical fire weather conditions either occurring now or imminent. These conditions can lead to the rapid spread of fire, becoming life-threatening.
