Child Porn Raid Takes Place at South Medford House

This morning, the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team (SOCET) executed a search warrant at a residence on South Pacific Highway in south Medford, uncovering numerous images of child exploitation that were uploaded from the location. The SOCET, a joint inter-agency task force, has been actively pursuing the investigation, with interviews of potential witnesses and involved parties currently underway.

Assisting SOCET in this crucial operation were several agencies, including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), Homeland Security Investigations, Oregon State Police, Medford Police Department, Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force (SOHTCTF), and Jackson County District Attorney’s Office. Officials did not release any information on possible individuals arrested or charged at this time.

During the execution of the search warrant, investigators successfully confiscated digital devices from the residence, which will be subjected to forensic examination by the SOHTCTF to gather further evidence of child exploitation activities.

The investigation was set in motion thanks to a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The information from NCMEC prompted the issuance of subpoenas and ultimately culminated in the authorization of the search warrant at the residence.

As the investigation remains ongoing, authorities are committed to holding those involved accountable and ensuring the safety and protection of children in the community. The joint efforts of SOCET and the collaborating agencies have exemplified their dedication to combating child exploitation and safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable individuals.

Further updates on this investigation will be provided as the investigation progresses.
