Multiple air resources have been activated to help fight the “Flat Fire” in Curry County. The fire was first reported around 7p tonight. Initial unofficial size-up had the blaze at 30 acres. As of 8:30p, the estimates have grown to around 120 acres.

The Flat Fire is located just west of the Curry County border with Josephine County.
Several air tankers, including two VLAT’s were working the fire Saturday evening, being dispatched from the Medford Airport Air Tanker Base.
