Dog of the Week: 7-Month-Old “Rolo” Eager to Find Home

UPDATE: Rolo has been adopted by a loving family!

Rolo, a 7-month-old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix, is tugging at the heartstrings of animal lovers as he waits patiently for his forever home at the Jackson County Animal Shelter.

Rolo and his siblings, who came to the shelter as strays, have all found loving families except for him. With his playful demeanor and charming personality, Rolo is eager to find a caring and committed family that can provide him with the attention and training he needs.

Like any young pup, Rolo requires obedience and leash training. His energy is boundless, and he can be quite exuberant, which is why reinforcing positive behaviors will be crucial for his development. A home that can keep him mentally and physically active will be an ideal match for this spirited pup.

Having attended playgroups at the shelter, Rolo has shown a great affinity for playing with other dogs. If you already have furry companions at home, Rolo would love the opportunity to meet them beforehand to ensure compatibility.

“All of my siblings have found their forever homes, and I’m eagerly waiting for mine,” Rolo expressed with a wagging tail. “Please come meet me, and let’s create a bond that will last a lifetime.” [Disclaimer: Rolo cannot actually talk, this was a simple interpretation of his body language]

To inquire about meeting Rolo or any other adoptable animals, please contact the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654. Press 5 for adoptions, and their friendly staff will be delighted to assist you. Don’t miss the chance to give Rolo the loving home he deserves!
