Earlier today, a collision occurred on N. Valley View Rd near Ashland, catching the attention of a vigilant neighbor. The neighbor quickly alerted the JCAS (Jackson County Animal Services) staff that a dog had been a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the incident and had bolted away afterward. Acting swiftly, the Animal Control Supervisor rushed to the scene in an attempt to locate the dog.



Despite being shaken up by the accident, the dog named Jake, was eventually spotted. However, Jake was frightened and chose to remain hidden rather than coming out. Thankfully, the dog’s family promptly arrived at the scene, joined by Nick from Rogue Sanitation and ACO Mike (Animal Control Officer Mike). Together, they coordinated their efforts to ensure Jake’s safe return.
After a collective endeavor, involving the family, Nick from Rogue Sanitation, and ACO Mike, Jake was successfully reunited with his relieved family. The collaboration and dedication of everyone involved played a vital role in ensuring Jake’s safe recovery.
