The Jackson County Expo in Central Point has been chosen by the Senior Talent and Casting Producer for America Idol as the official partner for all County Fairs in Oregon and the Oregon State Fair for season 22 of American Idol on ABC.
Auditions for Jackson County American Idol will be open to participants aged 15 to 29. To be considered, aspiring contestants must submit a completed American Idol Audition Application, along with a 90-second video file, by July 11, 2023, at https://attheexpo.com/home/american-idol/.
Ten finalists will perform live at the Jackson County Fair on July 16th, and winners from all participating County Fairs will perform and be filmed at the Oregon State Fair on August 26, 2023.
The Oregon State Fair People’s Choice Award winner will receive a VIP Executive Producer Audition. Auditions with cover songs are preferred, and performers can choose to perform alone, with a backing track, a cappella, or with their own musical accompaniment.
Finalists who perform at the State Fair will receive professional sound, videography, Fair admission, and an award. If selected for an American Idol callback, performers will be contacted by an American Idol producer between the performance and November 1, 2023.
The Jackson County Expo, known as southern Oregon’s largest event center and host of the Jackson County Fair, provides a wide range of opportunities for the citizens of Jackson County, including social, cultural, recreational, agricultural, commercial, and educational experiences. The Jackson County Fair, first held in 1859, is the longest-running county fair in Oregon, attracting visitors from all over Oregon and beyond.
