In a developing situation in Northeast Medford, a police standoff has led to the closure of McGloughlin Drive between Delta Waters and the Abraham Lincoln Elementary School. The Medford Police Department (MPD) has responded to the incident, believing there to be one individual barricaded inside a nearby house.

To handle the situation, the MPD has deployed their Drone Team, which is providing aerial support, along with units from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) and at least one MPD SWAT Team. The collaboration among these agencies aims to ensure the safety of both the public and law enforcement personnel.
As the incident unfolds, Medford Alert is actively working to gather additional information regarding the ongoing police standoff. Authorities are focused on resolving the situation peacefully while minimizing any potential risk to the community. Residents in the area are urged to stay indoors and follow the instructions of law enforcement officials for their own safety.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more information becomes available.
