Multiple agencies mobilized to treat a person with a critical gun shot wound in Wolf Creek this morning.
Wolf Creek Fire District, AMR-Josephine County, Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, Mercy Flights and Rural Metro Fire answered the call received by Josephine County 911.
Even an ODF unit on patrol in the area assisted with traffic control to help make the landing zone safe as the medical helicopter aided in the transport.
Authorities say that incidents like this show the importance of having adequate response personnel and volunteers to save lives and property in rural communities.
