This is a developing incident. Medford Alert will continue to monitor and update as new information becomes available.
At approximately 9:46p tonight, ECSO 911 dispatchers received several calls regarding a serious crash that had occurred on I5 in north Medford.

As additional information began to emerge, it was upgraded to a vehicle vs motorcycle crash. Two Mercy Flights ambulances, along with several Medford Police, Oregon State Police, Oregon Department of Transportation, and Medford Fire units were also sent to the incident.
Upon first arrival, law enforcement stated that there were believed to be two additional crashes in the area, not associated with the original call. The two other crashes were not believed to have caused any major injuries at this time.
Medford Alert was first on scene and confirmed what looked like three separate crashes. There was a crash just south of the northbound I5 Exit 30 off-ramp, the more serious crash under the OR62 overpass on I5, and the third one further north just past the interchange.
A witness told Medford Alert that the motorcycle involved rear ended another vehicle on I5. The person believed the drivers of the cars involved may be acquaintances. OSP has not confirmed any information regarding the incident at this time.
Medford Alert is working to gather additional information and will provide updates as they become available.
