At approximately 8:25a today, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies responded to a trailer park near Ray’s Food Place in Gold Hill on a report of a man chasing another man with a knife.
The suspect reportedly broke into a residence in the trailer park to confront the victim initially. The suspect then chased the victim on foot and later with the suspect’s vehicle. Deputies arriving on scene intervened by initiating a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The suspect attempted to throw his knife away before being taken into custody.
The suspect confronted the victim who is in a relationship with an ex-girlfriend of the suspect. The victim was not injured.
The suspect is Joseph Paul Dinucci: 31 years old of Medford. Dinucci is lodged at Jackson County Jail on the following charges:
Attempted Murder; Attempted Assault 1; Attempted Assault 2 w/ a vehicle; Unlawful Use of a Deadly Weapon; Burglary 1; Reckless Driving; and Harassment.
