Medford Firefighters Conduct Vehicle Extraction Training

All of the Medford Fire (MFD) stations have been participating in vehicle extrication training over the past few weeks. Officials say the techniques reviewed during the training were door and roof removals, along with dash lifts, all of which are used to free entrapped patients from a vehicle.

Additionally, MFD trained on the potential hazards associated with electric/hybrid vehicles when they are involved in a wreck, along with securing a vehicle that is on its side.

Fire officials say this training helps firefighters ensure that they are ready to respond to these types of incidents.
