JCSO: Missing and Endangered Teen Call Believed to be Hoax

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Search and Rescue and Patrol deputies are out searching for a possibly missing and endangered teen.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information on the identification or whereabouts of the teen pictured above, to contact Sergeant Shawn Richards at (541) 591-1843.

No additional information was released by officials at this time.

UPDATE: JCSO is discontinuing actively search for this teen pending further investigation.

Authorities are discontinuing actively search for the possibly missing and endangered teen due to not being able to identify the subject and confirm he is actually missing.

Upon further investigation, JCSO believes the original 911 call to be a hoax. The contact with 911 was made from a phone app account created this morning and deleted after the 911 call. The app was accessed from outside the local area.
