Metro Crews Fight Two Alarm Structure Fire in Eagle Point

At approximately 3:15p today, multiple Jackson County Fire District 3 (JCFD3) units were dispatched to a reported structure fire in Eagle Point.

Callers told ECSO 911 dispatchers that the saw smoke and 15ft flames coming from the homes roof.

The structure fire was on the 400 block of West Wind Circle near Crystal Dr in Eagle Point.

Eagle Point Police (EPPD) arrived first on scene and reported hearing ammunition exploding inside the house.

When JCFD3 got on scene, units immediately began attacking a side of the structure that was most active.

At 3.36p, fire command upgraded this incident to a second alarm. Additional units from Medford Fire (MFD) and Jackson County Fire District 4 (JCFD4) were dispatched to assist.

Crystal Drive is currently closed in the area by police to allow fire crews to work the incident. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) units are assisting EPPD personnel in traffic control.

There are no reported injuries at this time.

All roads are open. The structure is believed to be a total loss at this time.
