“Mosaic Medford” Plans to Add More Apartments to Northeast Side

On September 7th, the Medford Planning Commission is scheduled to hear a proposal that would add nearly 160 new apartments to an undeveloped area off Springbrook Rd in Northeast Medford.

The project known as “Mosaic Medford“ and is being developed by a Portland-based company.

The development would comprise of three contiguous, vacant parcels totaling approximately 7.42 acres. The parcels are fronted by both West Bell Court and Springbrook Road (Address: 2707 Springbrook Road).

The developers remarked that the proposed buildings are a modern design, similar to other design styles in the Pacific Northwest. Adjacent buildings were constructed in the ’90s, and as such, incorporate outdated design methods. The proposed building will attempt to match outdated design methods to the greatest extent possible while still providing a modern and stylish feel. Complimentary design styles between the project and adjacent buildings include neutral colors, human scale–covered entry porches, wood framing around windows, and large three-foot-wide roof overhangs to match adjacent residential buildings.

Some highlights of the project are three amenity buildings, modern urban designs, and a vast network of walking paths connecting the multiple buildings.

As this project moves through the city approval process, Medford Alert will continue to monitor and provide updates.
