Just 13 hours after the large structure fire on Nugget Dr, Jackson County Fire District #1 (JCFD1) was dispatched to another structure fire at 6285 Rogue River Hwy at the Rogue River Inn.
Once on scene, a 2nd alarm was requested as crews had a difficult time getting into access to some parts of the attic. This also helped offset any potential chance of fire spreading to surrounding structures and vegetation.
Evans Valley Fire, Grants Pass Fire, Rural Metro and Fire Jackson County District #3 (JCFD3) all worked together to control the fire.
FD1 says the following: “We cannot express how much we appreciate all of our mutual aid
agencies. Our working relationships and mutual aid
agreements are essential in keeping our communities safe.”
On Monday, Rural Metro had a large multi alarm fire in Murphy, and another one ealier in the week at Hogs Cr. JCFD1 sent an engine on move-up to cover their response area to cover other calls in the county.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no reported injuries.
