Winter Weather Advisory Issued Through Wednesday Morning

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM WEDNESDAY ABOVE 2000 FEET

  • Snow above 2000 feet, but locally down to 1500 feet in the Ashland area and along the hills surrounding the Rogue Valley. Additional snow accumulations of 1 at lower elevations and up to 8 inches at higher elevations.
  • Portions of eastern Curry County, Josephine County, and Jackson County including Ashland. Additionally, Interstate 5 in the Ashland area as well as over the Sexton and Canyon Mountain passes will also be affected. Portions of Highway 238 at Jacksonville Hill into the Applegate Valley. Portions of Highway 199 including Hayes Hill and south of Obrien at the Collier Tunnel.
  • Until 11 AM PDT Wednesday.
  • Travel could be difficult during periods of heavier snow showers and at higher elevations. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute on Wednesday.
  • A cold front moving in from the northwest will bring the greatest snowfall rates late this evening through early Wednesday morning.
  • Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.
  • Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
  • A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties.
