Ashland Opens Emergency Severe Weather Shelter Through March 7

An Emergency Severe Weather shelter will be opening due to extreme weather conditions.

The shelter will be opening on Sunday March 6, 2022 at 12:00 PM and will run until 12:00 PM on Monday March 7th due to severe weather conditions forecasted. The shelter will open its doors at 12:00 PM. The doors will close for the night at 9:00 PM with lights out at 10:00 PM. The doors will be locked from 10 PM to 6 AM the shelter will close for the day at 12:00 PM on Monday March 5the.

The shelter will be located at Pioneer Hall, 73 Winburn Way, Ashland. Donations of clean blankets or sleeping bags that have been run through a hot dryer are welcome, authorities ask the public to not bring clothing or other items. Pets welcome.

This is a no frills shelter, officials suggest to plan on providing your own bedding. The Shelter will be observing social distancing requirements. Masks will be required and are available on site. For questions or concerns: Contact Avram Sacks at 541-220-7307.
