Agencies Team-Up to Rescue Injured White City Hawk

Yesterday, an alert passing motorist spotted a hawk with a broken wing at 3:45pm on the 8400 block of Agate Road and called dispatch.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were then dispatched to render assistance to the injured bird.

Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife assisted JCSO with rescuing the injured red-tailed hawk in White City.

The hawk was transported to Wildlife Images Rehabilitation & Education Center in Merlin, Oregon to be rehabilitated and released back into the wild.
