Metro Growth Update: These High Profile Projects Reach New Milestones

Asante RRMC Expansion

The $423 million Asante Pavilion continues to move forward quickly. The project is expected to open in late 2023.

South Medford Support Complex

This project aims to add much needed space for the fast growing Rogue Credit Union. It will comprise of two, 3-floor buildings connected with a sky-bridge. Estimates put opening around late spring 2022 or early summer 2022.

Compass Margaritaville Hotel

Located on the fast growing S. Pacific Highway area, this project is owned by the Coquille Indian Tribe. The original plans called for a 5-story hotel. The project is now only 4-stories, but takes up a larger footprint in order to keep the same number of room. It will feature a large outdoor pool and lounge area. And also will include a Five O’Clock Somewhere Restaurant. The current opening timeframe is mid 2022.

Asante Heimann Cancer Center

The 80,160-square-foot Asante Heimann Cancer Center is the most advanced home for cancer treatment in the region. A department of nearby Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, the Heimann Cancer Center offers everything from advanced imaging, labs and top-of-the-line treatment to pharmacy and expanded support services, greatly increasing the ease and access of cancer services for patients. The $64 million project officially opened on January 17, 2022.

Panera Bread at Stewart Meadows Village

This long awaited fan favorite restaurant is currently under construction near the corner of Highway 99 and Garfield Street. It is part of a larger retail complex taking up a block next to a Harry and David campus building. Expected opening is late spring or early summer 2022.

Springhill Suites at Navigators Landing

This 4-story, 84,000 sqft Marriott hotel is going up in the Navigators Landing development across Biddle Rd from MFR. It will join a booming area of newly opened and planned hotels west of the Medford Airport. Expected opening in summer 2022.

The Residences at Stewart Meadows Village

This is the last phase of residential construction at the site, that has approval. With the continued overwhelming need for more area housing, we would expect for developers to amend the overall site plan to include more multi-family units. However, no further residential buildings on this site are confirmed at this time. Expect to see this phase open mid spring 2022.

Urban Cork Downtown Expansion

Finishing touches are being put on The Urban Cork expansion at their downtown facility. Construction of their 7000+ sqft addition for barrel storage and utilities is mostly finished. Along with a new 1100 sqft tasting room and plaza. Estimated opening early Spring 2022.

These are a few examples of the continued growth our area is experiencing. There are a number of other projects happening and we will update those as they progress as well. We also expect a major uptick in metro area construction projects once spring is here. Stay tuned!
