City officials will soon consider plans for the construction of a 4,116 square foot restaurant and attached 1,440 square foot coffee shop on 0.71 acres at the northeast corner of the Crater Lake Avenue and Owen Drive intersection.

Mountain Mikes Pizza and Cascade Coffee Shop are the two expected tenants. The pizza outfit currently operates a location in the Black Oak Plaza in south Medford, as well.

The plan for the project has been to provide a pre-engineered metal building with a single slope roof draining south to north, a built-up parapet with uniform façade dimensions on three sides: the east, west and south facades, and no parapet wall on the
northern façade. This pre-engineered metal building has been engineered by JB Steel and the Metallic bulling Company as a clear-span metal frame building with two tube steel column supports at the mid-span.

If approved, construction could begin as early as this spring.
