The White House has issued an amended flag order. President Biden has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff on the day of Senator Reid’s interment, which will be confirmed at a later date. The Governor’s Office will send an updated notice once that date has been confirmed.

Governor Kate Brown today ordered all flags at Oregon public institutions to be flown at half-staff immediately to honor the life and legacy of Senator Harry Reid. In accordance with a proclamation from the White House, flags shall remain at half-staff until the day of Senator Reid’s interment, which will be confirmed at a later date.
“Today we mourn the loss and honor the legacy of a true statesman,” said Governor Brown. “Senator Reid lived a life of service and led by example through his courageousness and tenacity. Dan and I send our deepest condolences to his family as we honor his memory.”
