Even though we only saw a glancing blow from the much hyped “atmosphere river”, our metro saw some impressive wind and rain numbers.
NWS Medford, released some data earlier today. Here are some of the highlights.
Wind Data:
Ashland had a high gust of 54 mph at 4:39a
One Medford location recorded a 40 mph gust at 5:25a
Talent clocked a 30 mph gust at 5:50a
Central Point had a 22 mph gust at 9:59a
The highest wind gust Jackson County saw during this storm was at Squaw Peak at 75 mph
Rain Data:
Jacksonville recorded .40 inches by 7a
Ashland saw .30 inches by 7a
Gold Hill had .36 inches by 7a
Phoenix recorded .25 inches by 7a
Areas of Medford saw .24 inches by 7a
Eagle Point had .20 inches and Central Point saw .13 inches of rain.
Rain has continued through Sunday, we expect for the precipitation totals to noticeable increase, once tallied.
