Medford Police have given a bit more information regarding the arrest of a suspect connected to yesterday evenings fire.
We were the first to confirm the suspects name and charges last night, along with an exclusive look at his arrest on scene.

The investigation revealed Bare was camping in one of the abandoned structures, and lit an adjacent structure on fire. The motive is not clear, however, drug use is believed to be a contributing factor.
Yesterday evening, at about 6:02 p.m. a structure fire was reported in the 1200 block of E. Vilas Road. MPD was assisted by Medford Fire and the Jackson County Sheriffs. Ralph Bare was quickly detained near the scene.

There were several homes and commercial buildings in close proximity, surrounded by dry vegetation. Thank you to Medford Fire for getting the fire out before it could spread.
Ralph Richard Bare, 53, was lodged for one count of Arson 1st Degree.
