MEDFORD, Ore. (Sep. 19, 2026) — Emergency crews responded to Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport shortly after 1:25 p.m. Saturday following a report of an emergency involving a small aircraft.
Multiple Medford Airport Fire-Rescue ground units and MFR personnel responded to the airport’s main runway.
The runway is currently impacted as crews work to clear the aircraft and investigate the incident. Approximately five departing commercial flights are currently being held while the response continues.
Medford Alert News has reached out to MFR Director Amber Judd for additional information, including whether anyone was injured. An official statement will be provided when available.
The incident remains under investigation.

UPDATE: Medford Airport Director Amber Judd provided Medford Alert News the following statement:
“A small private aircraft flipped upside down upon landing this afternoon.
No injuries and the pilot was the only one aboard.
Crews have cleared the accident and the runway is open again”
