MEDFORD, Ore. (Aug. 16, 2026) — Oregon State Police are asking for the public’s help locating Terry and Nancy Shelton, an elderly couple from the Sams Valley area who have not been heard from since leaving the Medford area Friday evening.
Family members said the Sheltons went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse in northeast Medford, and told others they were heading home around 8 p.m. They never arrived.
According to information shared by the family, the couple was last known to be traveling on Highway 140 toward Klamath Falls at about 1 a.m. Saturday.
Terry and Nancy both have medical conditions and memory issues, according to their family. Relatives have been unable to reach either of them by cellphone.
The couple is believed to be traveling in a 2016 white Ford Explorer. The vehicle’s license plate is 393JAX.
Oregon State Police are investigating the disappearance and are working with the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol.

Anyone who has seen Terry or Nancy, their vehicle, or has any information that could help investigators determine their whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement and reference case number SP26268078.
Family members are urging anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible.
UPDATE: The couple has been located near Madras. They are safe. No additional information is available at this time.
