Bi-Mart Amphitheater to Host Legendary Double Bill Featuring ZZ Top and Cheap Trick

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. (Aug. 4, 2026) — Southern Oregon rock fans will have the opportunity to see two of the most influential bands in American rock music share the stage next week as ZZ Top brings The Big One! Tour to Bi-Mart Amphitheater at The Expo on Thursday, Aug. 13. The evening will also feature special guest Cheap Trick, creating a lineup that spans more than a century of combined recording and touring history.

The concert pairs two Rock & Roll Hall of Fame bands whose music has remained a fixture on classic rock playlists for decades. Together, the groups have sold tens of millions of albums worldwide and continue to perform to audiences across North America.

Ahead of the show, concert organizers announced that a limited number of premium VIP seats in the front sections have recently been released, giving fans another opportunity to secure some of the venue’s closest seats before the concert.

The performance is expected to deliver an evening filled with some of rock’s most recognizable songs. ZZ Top continues to perform the blues-infused sound and unmistakable style that helped define the band’s career, with audiences likely to hear classics such as “La Grange,” “Tush,” “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” “Sharp Dressed Man,” and “Legs.” Known for their signature beards, sunglasses and unmistakable stage presence, the Texas trio has remained one of the longest-running bands with a largely unchanged lineup throughout its history.

Formed in 1969, ZZ Top built a reputation by blending Texas blues, boogie and hard rock into a distinctive sound that earned international success throughout the 1970s and 1980s. The band has released numerous platinum-selling albums and remains one of rock’s most enduring touring acts. Their contributions to American music were recognized in 2004 when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Sharing the stage will be Cheap Trick, another legendary act whose influence stretches across multiple generations of rock music. Since emerging in the 1970s, the Illinois-based band has become known for combining melodic power-pop songwriting with arena-rock energy. Their catalog includes enduring hits such as “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” “Dream Police” and the chart-topping ballad “The Flame.”

Cheap Trick’s energetic live performances have made the band a concert favorite for decades, and its impact on rock music was formally recognized with induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. The group continues to tour extensively, bringing its extensive catalog to audiences around the world.

The pairing of ZZ Top and Cheap Trick brings together two bands whose careers have collectively helped shape the sound of American rock music.
