Vehicle Slams Into Utility Pole, Delaying Morning Commute on E. McAndrews Road

MEDFORD, Ore. (Jun. 30, 2026) — A crash involving a vehicle and a utility pole has closed one eastbound lane of E. McAndrews Road in Medford early Tuesday morning, creating traffic delays for commuters.

The lane closure is in effect on eastbound McAndrews Road between Court Street and Riverside Avenue after a vehicle struck a utility pole around 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Westbound traffic remains open, but motorists traveling through the area should expect delays and use caution as emergency crews work at the scene.

Officials said there is no estimated time for the full reopening of the roadway. Utility crews must first safely address the damaged pole before the lane can be reopened to traffic.

Drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes during the morning commute and remain alert for workers and emergency personnel in the area.

Authorities said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
