CENTRAL POINT, Ore. (May. 27, 2026) — Investigators with the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team (SOCET) and the Oregon Department of Justice’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant Wednesday morning at a rural Central Point residence as part of an ongoing child exploitation investigation.
According to investigators, the warrant was served May 27 at a home in the 5000 block of Table Rock Road after authorities discovered suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material, commonly referred to as CSAM, had allegedly been uploaded from the address to the social messaging platform Discord.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children forwarded a tip to law enforcement. Investigators said the information led to subpoenas and eventually the search warrant executed Wednesday.
Authorities said investigators interviewed possible witnesses and other involved parties during the operation. Multiple digital devices were seized and will undergo forensic examination by the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force as investigators continue gathering evidence related to possible child exploitation offenses.
No arrests were announced Wednesday, and officials said the investigation remains active. Authorities declined to release additional details.
SOCET was assisted during the operation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, Medford Police Department, Talent Police Department, the Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force.
SOCET was formed in June 2020 as a joint inter-agency task force focused on combating child exploitation in Southern Oregon. The task force includes investigators from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Oregon Department of Justice ICAC Task Force, along with prosecutors from local, state, and federal agencies serving Jackson County.
The Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force is also a multi-agency investigative unit composed of personnel from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Medford Police Department.
Authorities said investigators will continue examining seized devices and conducting interviews as the case progresses. Officials said no further information would be released at this time.
