
MEDFORD, Ore. (May. 11, 2026) — A crash on the Rogue Valley Expressway in north Medford has closed all southbound lanes near the East Vilas Road overpass, according to transportation officials.
The closure is impacting traffic near milepost 3.5 on the Rogue Valley Expressway, also known as RVX. Officials said all southbound lanes and the shoulder are blocked as crews respond to the crash.
Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes. Westbound Oregon Highway 62 can be used as a detour around the closure.
No information about injuries or the number of vehicles involved was immediately available. Officials have not announced an estimated time for reopening the roadway.

NOTE: Oregon Highway 62 and the RVX are designated East-West routes. However, in the crash area, the stretch has a North-South orientation. For clarity, “southbound” and “westbound” are interchangeable terms in this articles descriptions.
