No Injuries After Fire at Six-Story Downtown Medford Apartment Building

MEDFORD, Ore. (Apr. 1, 2026) — Fire crews quickly contained a blaze that broke out in a six-story apartment building at the corner of Ivy Street and Main Street on Wednesday, preventing injuries and limiting damage, authorities said.

The fire was reported in a first-floor laundry room and was brought under control by responding crews. Officials said firefighters are now working to ventilate the building, shut down the sprinkler system and manage water accumulation inside the structure.

No injuries have been reported.

Responders from the Medford Police Department and Mercy Flights Inc are assisting at the scene.

Authorities have not released information on the cause of the fire. Additional updates are expected as crews continue operations.
