
MEDFORD, Ore. (Mar. 27, 2026) — A motor vehicle crash in northeast Medford led to a road closure and the arrest of a 26-year-old man, authorities said.
Emergency responders closed Springbrook Road at Owen Drive as crews worked at the scene of the crash. The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) team was activated to investigate the incident, indicating the severity of the collision.
One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Officials did not immediately release details about the extent of those injuries.
Police said Andres Sales-Ordonez, 26, was arrested in connection with the crash. He is being lodged on charges of second-degree assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), reckless driving and reckless endangering.
Authorities announced in an update at 10:30 a.m. Friday that the crash scene had been cleared and Springbrook Road was reopened to traffic.
Officials thanked the public for their patience during the closure as crews responded and conducted the investigation.
