Multiple-Vehicle Crash Closes Highway 140 East of White City

WHITE CITY, Ore. (Feb. 17, 2026) — Oregon Highway 140 is closed approximately 22 miles east of White City following a crash involving multiple vehicles, authorities said.

The closure affects mileposts 22 through 25, according to officials. Details about the number of vehicles involved, possible injuries or the cause of the crash were not immediately available.

Transportation officials warned the closure could be extended as crews respond to the scene and clear the roadway. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes or postpone travel until conditions improve.

Winter driving conditions are being reported on area mountain passes, adding to travel hazards in the region.
