Crash Closes Both Directions of OR-140 Near Central Point

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. (Jan. 17, 2026) — A crash closed both eastbound and westbound lanes of OR-140 about 5 miles west of its intersection with Crater Lake Highway (OR-62) on Saturday, causing delays estimated between 20 minutes and two hours.

Oregon Department of Transportation officials said all lanes in both directions were affected and urged drivers to slow down and move over to ensure worker safety at the scene.

Authorities had not released information on injuries or damage as of Saturday evening.
