Power Outages Impact Downtown and Old East Medford

Medford, Oregon- More than a thousand Pacific Power customers lost electricity Wednesday afternoon as two outages affected parts of downtown Medford and Old East Medford.

The outages, first reported around 3:45 p.m., left about 1,138 customers without service, according to Pacific Power’s online outage map. The utility said crews have been notified and are investigating the cause.

Service is expected to be restored before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Impacted areas include ZIP code 97501, covering portions of the downtown core and nearby residential neighborhoods.

Pacific Power urged customers to report additional outages and avoid downed lines, reminding residents that crews are working to safely restore power as quickly as possible.

UPDATE: Power has been restored to all previously impacted areas.
