Grants Pass, Oregon- Approximately 832 residents in Grants Pass are without electricity following a prolonged outage caused by a damaged underground power line, officials said Tuesday.
The disruption, which Pacific Power attributed to “unexpected underground equipment interference,” is taking longer to repair than initially anticipated.
“Due to unexpected underground equipment interference, the current power outage in Grants Pass, will extend beyond 8 hours. Our team is working diligently to resolve the issue and restore power as quickly and as safely as possible,” the utility said in a statement.
Crews remain on scene working to restore service. Power is expected to be back on by 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 12.
