Medford, Oregon- The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Wind Advisory for the Rogue Valley, Shasta Valley and central Siskiyou County, effective from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
South winds are expected to reach speeds of 30 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 55 mph. The advisory covers areas including south Medford, east Medford hills, Phoenix. Talent, Ashland, Weed, Grenada, Montague, as well as Interstate 5 and Highway 97 north of Weed.
Strong winds may cause unsecured objects to be blown around, and tree limbs could be knocked down, potentially leading to power outages. Driving conditions may become hazardous, particularly for high-profile vehicles.
Residents are advised to use caution when traveling and to secure outdoor objects to prevent damage.
