
Medford, Oregon- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has issued a Wind Advisory for Southeast Jackson County, effective from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
South winds between 20 and 35 mph are expected, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph. The advisory covers areas along Interstate 5 from Medford to Ashland, including the cities of Medford, Phoenix, Talent, and Ashland.
The strong winds may cause unsecured objects to be displaced. Tree limbs could be damaged, which may result in localized power outages.
Motorists traveling along Interstate 5 and throughout the affected areas are advised to exercise caution, especially in high-profile vehicles. Residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items and remain alert for potential hazards caused by wind-blown debris.
The advisory is set to expire at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday unless conditions change.
