Medford, Oregon- Jackson County has transitioned to its own emergency notification system, Jackson Alerts, after previously operating under a shared account with Josephine County through Everbridge’s Citizen Alert.
The shift, which takes effect this week, aims to improve security, increase control over alerting options, and streamline the management of system features and authorized alert senders.
Residents previously registered with Citizen Alert have had their information migrated to Jackson Alerts. They are required to verify their details and establish a new username and password.
“If you receive multiple emails, you may have previously created multiple accounts in Citizen Alert and only need to verify and establish one account in Jackson Alerts moving forward,” county officials stated in a notification email.
For assistance, residents can visit the Jackson Alerts FAQ page or call Jackson County at 541-774-6790. Questions can also be directed to alert@jacksoncountyor.gov.
