Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Northwest Medford Crash

Medford, Oregon- A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a collision Sunday night at the intersection of Table Rock Road and Berrydale Avenue. Authorities report that the incident occurred when a Toyota Tacoma made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist, who was traveling southbound on Berrydale Avenue and had the right of way with a green light.

The collision resulted in significant injuries for the motorcyclist, who was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. There has been no further update on the rider’s condition at this time.

According to Medford police, the Tacoma driver displayed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested. The driver now faces multiple charges, including Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII), Assault in the Second Degree, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering. The driver was lodged at the Jackson County Jail following the incident.

The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team responded to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation of the crash, which closed off the intersection for several hours Sunday night as they examined evidence and conducted interviews with witnesses.

Authorities urge caution for all drivers and emphasize that impaired driving poses serious risks to public safety. No additional information was released by authorities at this time.
