Medford, Oregon- Construction crews are set to continue the extensive work on the northern sections of Foothill Road, with an additional road closure scheduled to begin on Monday, July 29, 2024. The new closure will be positioned just south of Corey Road and is a crucial step in the ongoing “mega-corridor” infrastructure project aimed at widening three culvert crossings in preparation for the future expansion of this section of Foothill Road.
The upcoming closure will affect an area approximately 1/2 mile south of Corey Road. This section will remain closed from July 29 through early November 2024. Despite the closure, emergency service providers have been duly notified, ensuring that their operations will not be disrupted. Residents in the affected area will retain access to their properties at all times, minimizing the impact on the local community.
This new closure comes in addition to the existing road closure between Dry Creek Road and Coker Butte Road, which is scheduled to stay in place until early September 2024. These closures are part of a broader initiative to enhance the road infrastructure, improving safety and traffic flow in the region.
Residents and commuters are advised to plan their travel routes accordingly and stay updated on the project’s progress.
