Firefighters Battle Structure Fire in Northwest Medford

Medford, Oregon- At approximately 7:03 PM this evening, the Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon (ECSO) dispatched Medford Fire Department (MFD) units to the 600 block of Kylee Ann in northwest Medford for a reported structure fire.

Upon arrival, the first units on the scene reported a fully engulfed structure, believed to be a garage. The fire began to spread to a nearby home, prompting the activation of a second alarm to bring in additional resources.

At least nine fire units from the Medford Fire Department and Jackson County Fire District 3 (JCFD3) are currently working the blaze. As a precaution, Medford Police (MPD) evacuated at least two nearby homes.

This is a developing incident. Medford Alert will provide updates as they become available.

Update: A Deputy Fire Marshal is on scene working to determine the origin and cause. There is no reported injuries to occupants or firefighters.

Three structures were involved – two residential mobile homes and one detached garage. Seven individuals have been displaced by the fire and authorities working with them to assist with resources.
