One Arrested After Table Rock Road Area Two-Alarm Fire

Medford, Oregon- Table Rock Road is currently closed at Vilas Road for southbound traffic and at Biddle Road for northbound traffic due to a fire. Authorities are advising the public to avoid the area.

The fire was initially reported as a structure fire at approximately 12:06 p.m. It has since spread to nearby grasslands, necessitating road closures and a significant response from local fire services.

Jackson County Fire District 3 and the Medford Fire Department are on the scene working to contain the blaze.

Residents and travelers are urged to seek alternative routes and comply with safety advisories.

UPDATE: The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office released the following information: JCSO deputies detained a suspect at the scene of the fire at 12:16 PM. After investigations, JCSO deputies arrested the suspect, Andrew Joseph Ragsdale, 68, of Central Point, for reckless burning, interfering with a firefighter, and unlawful possession of meth. He was booked and lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
